Description
The Master of Computer Science is a two-year program designed for students interested in algorithms, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, human-computer interaction, networks, and systems. This selective program draws on IP Paris’s cutting-edge research laboratories and world-class researchers.
This program has a strong focus on research. The first year provides a solid foundation in key areas, while the second year offers the opportunity to specialize in one of several fields.
For students aiming to pursue a PhD after their master’s degree, the program is affiliated with three PhD track programs for early research immersion: one in Computer Science, another in Data & Artificial Intelligence, and one in Quantum Computing (within the PhD Track Quantum Science and Technologies). These PhD track programs offer excellence scholarships and registration fee waivers.
Tracks
- Foundations of computer science, Operations research, Distributed computing, and Quantum computing (FODQ)
This track focuses on the core components of Computer Science, ranging from theory and mathematics to applied distributed systems and quantum computing. Students have to choose one of the following 2-year majors:
- Foundations of Computer Science (MPRI)
- Operational Research (MPRO)
- Parallel and Distributed Systems (PDS)
- Quantum, Mathematics, Computer Science (QMI)
- Cybersecurity, Cyberphysical Systems, and Networks (CCSN)
This track addresses the main components of nowadays IT systems. It equips students with advanced technical skills and theoretical knowledge in securing digital infrastructures, formally designing and verifying intelligent cyber-physical systems, and optimizing modern network architectures. Students have to choose one of the following 2-year majors:
- Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Graphics (DAIIG)
This track focuses on extracting information from data, and managing interactions with humans. These majors provide a balanced skill set, combining analytical rigor with creative problem-solving, for careers in AI research, data engineering, UX/UI design, or interactive media. Students have to choose one of the following 2-year majors:
