WHY ENROLL IN THIS PROGRAM?
Asset n° 1
The “Chemistry and Interfaces” Master’s program is a high-level scientific and academic program offered by the Institute Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) and the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS-Université Paris Saclay). It is devoted to the chemistry of molecules and materials and its applications in the fields of biology and material sciences.
Asset n°2
The program delivers state-of-the-art knowledge in academic sciences and brings students closer to applications in industry. Expert academics teach the courses through formal lecturing and student-led coursework. Students will have access to top-level infrastructure when working on real research projects as part of established research groups.
Asset n°3
The Master’s program allows engineers and scientists from various backgrounds (chemistry, chemical and bio-engineering, materials or physics) to build on their experience and expertise. It provides a strong base in engineering and sciences that can be transferred to the next stage of their career in academia or industry.
This program offers in-depth training in chemistry at interfaces, covering both molecular aspects and material chemistry. It aims to train the experts of tomorrow by allowing them to acquire varied and complementary skills.
Objectives
- Train experts in chemistry at the interfaces (biology, health, artificial intelligence, environment) through very high-level teaching.
- Develop practical skills through research projects, laboratory sessions and internships in academic or industrial settings.
- Encourage innovation to address societal challenges in areas such as energy, transport, electronics, medicine, nanotechnology and health.
This program prepares students to become key players in various sectors, combining theoretical expertise and practical experience. It paves the way for many professional perspectives, among which:
- Academic research (PhD pursuit, academic career)
- Research, development and production in the private sector
- Innovation and business creation in scientific and technological fields
- The filing of patents and the promotion of scientific discoveries
- Advice and expertise for companies or institutions
This path allows graduates to thrive in varied environments, combining fundamental research, industrial applications and entrepreneurship.
